I’ve been fortunate enough to know Blue in different capacities now for over 10 years. From a teammate, coach, friend, and mentor, he’s been one of the more influential figures in my life throughout the time I’ve known him. Blue has always had an infectious spirit that commands the respect of the people around him. He’s been a vigorous preparer ever since his playing days and it’s no different now. I owe a great deal to Blue and my respect for him is second to none. 

Working with Coach AJ Blue changed the trajectory of my career. He took my game to the next level in so many ways. The improvements I made from the time I got to UNC to the time I left are a huge credit to AJ Blue and the plan that he had for me. I came into UNC as a pocket passing QB who wasn’t the best athlete, Coach Blue made a huge investment in trying to develop me into more of an athlete and that’s what he did. He was also a major reason why I was able to stay healthy my whole college career even with how physical I liked to play the game. He always brought energy and a positive mindset each and everyday and always knew how to get the best out of me. Forever grateful for my time with Coach Blue! 

Coach Blue is the real deal. He helped me in every aspect of life. Not only physically but mentally and emotionally too. He just knows how to push you and get whatever you think you don’t have in you, out of you. I couldn’t thank God enough for putting someone in my life like Coach Blue.  

After being around some of the best trainers in the world, i keep coming back to UNC because of Blue. He's ahead of his class and grinds just as hard as i do during our training sessions. He keeps me ready every season and is always looking for ways to me both himself and I look good when it's time to go!

Blue and I go way back; we first met in 2012 when my dad took the job at UNC and Blue was playing running back for them during that time.  Even then, Blue was energetic and outgoing but, when it was time to go, he knew exactly what to do. When i was drafted in 2018, i needed someone that was going to push me but also knew how a true athlete should train. My time with him was everything I asked for.  There's no doubt in my mind he will be a well-known trainer in the days to come; the world will wake up soon!

Not enough words can describe Blue. He is very much appreciated because not only has he been my strength coach for UNC, he’s became a big brother, mentor, trainer and anything else you can describe him as. Not only does he train but he gives guidance and is very active with his training. The grind is just like mine and the goals are the same. We are just in different fields. Even with it feel like we are chasing the same dream I can count on him to motivate, uplift and hold me accountable and vise versa. We learn from each other and grow from each other. And that’s love.

Coach Blue is dedicated to his craft. Point blank and simple. One of the most creative and understanding coaches I’ve ever worked with and he helped me throughout my years at UNC tremendously. I’d say he’s the best  in the business and the works speaks for itself!
